now I’m playing Neopets. Here’s my main if you want to play along? (Shuddup, I created it when I was in the 3rd grade.) Look at that old lookup… took me ages to code, but now it’s all screwed up in Chrome…
All I really will be doing is restocking and sniping auctions, lol.
Watching Fangamer Officecam, Banjo Tooie music comes on.
Giant SADFACE for me.
I miss being a kid armed with a N64 and a SNES emulator. Banjo Kazooie was the shiznick! I’m so sad those open world adventure platformers are dead now and Rare is gone and that new Banjo game sucked booty! And today on /r/gaming I saw a thread on Diddy Kong Racing. I always thought I was the only person in the world who played that game! Oh god playing single player and riding the hovercraft trying to go up the waterfall. I don’t feel so alone anymoreeee
Okay, I'm seeing the new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2...
Boring battle mechanics still looks the same (Button mashing? No way! Just let the game decide what to do for you! Also why haven’t we been able to control each individual player for the last two games!? ‘Follow the leader’ is some boring shiz!). And the ‘graphic design’ of everything is exactly the same, I don’t really think that’s very professional… But is that a bit of puzzle I see? Wait, are those the SAME EXACT monsters from the predecessor, same model and everything?! What the hell! Did they do that with X-2? I don’t remember… CINEMATIC ACTIONS?! SHIZ IT’S KINGDOM HEARTS 2
Pendleton Ward, the creator of Adventure Time, has stated in an interview that the Land of Ooo is actually a post-apocalyptic world, the result of some sort of global disaster, hence the ruined pieces of modern technology scattered across the land. The beginning of the opening sequence briefly shows a wasteland peppered with nuclear bombs and other weapons. (There is also a scarred arm that rises from a tree at the beginning.) This also explains the origins of the frozen Businessmen in “Business Time” and the half-buried car chases and broken TV sets seen everywhere. The cause may have had to do with radiation, as the show’s creators have sometimes mentioned “mutation” as the cause of some of the strange creatures in Ooo.
I'm pissed that I got the Wii because there aren't many good games on it, and it only had a 6 year lifetime. However now that the Wii is becoming lastgen I can at least buy games for it at a reasonable price.
All that I have on the Wii is Animal Crossing: City Folk, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (remake), and Donkey Kong Country Returns. And your obligatory Mii games.
I guess now I can buy A Boy and His Blob, Punchout (I still need to play the original though), Super Smash Bros Brawl (yeah, I’m that cheap), Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Twilight Princess (I bummed off a friend’s copy to play it. Too boring and no replay value for me to buy it myself), and Pikmin. Pikmin was ported to Wii, right? Uh, Last Story looks boring but I’ll try it out if it’s cheap… Super Paper Mario makes me pissed but I want to play for ‘story’… Hm… was there anything else worth buying? … Crystal Chronicles?
Too bad Wiiware won’t go down in price or anything… I’d love me some Cave Story remake… wait will Wiiware still be available when the Wii becomes obsolete?
This kind of freaked me out. No more Zelda?! Star Fox makes me sad, but I can understand… it kind of went under the radar for me but I heard it’s been sucking after Star Fox 64. But Zelda. No way. I’m still excited for Skyward Sword (pshh but not passive Princess Zelda, nope) so they can’t pull the plug just yet! Come on, they’re even making OoT and doing all kinds of awesome for thee 25th aniversary! Makes me kind of realize how I want Nintendo to step back from some of their old games and make something new, but at the same time I’m still willing to hang onto those classics. No matter how many times they are rehashed… ergh.
(Note to myself: Still gotta finish original Legend of Zelda.)
Also: yes. Kotaku. I still hit myself every time I visit that site.
Wtf is up Nintendo... Wii U looks like a Sega console from the 80's.
And what is WITH the affinity you guys have with double screens?? Let me say it again: A second screen is useless and expensive.
Ipads are still lame, and that is what you have with this… giant ass controller. I can’t even call it a controller. It’s just ridiculous. It doesn’t even have any grooves or anything.
And seriously. ‘Wii U’? What kind of freaking name…? All I can think of is the Whambulance going Weeeeooo weeeoooo
At least there’s SMB Mii and Paper Mario. Those look fun. Paper Mario music and graphics have downgraded, but that’s kind of expected for a handheld.
Oh crap! Multiplayer for Mario Kart! Never a real Mario Kart fan (I grew up on Diddy Kong Racing), but if they did this with Star Fox… that’d be so awesome! Super Smash Bros for 3DS too, and hopefully the Wii U is a given.
Sega Generations… I’ve never actually played a Sonic game, but Classic Sonic looks like fuunnn. When I saw the first trailer when it first came out, I had some hope for Sonic fans. Hopefully no Sonic Cycle this time?
Stop it, Nintendo… I don’t need another Animal Crossing Game… even if it is new… and is portable… and HOLY CRAP DID HE JUST JUMP IN THE WATER
Oh god… I need the new Zelda, like now…I never really got my fix from Twilight Princess, so I hope I end up liking this one a lot more. Princess Zelda looks like a total pushover though.
Oh god, nostalgia. Seriously, I played this in like 3rd, 5th grade? Really fun, enjoyable game, new battle system that didn’t suck, really pretty world (if not the best, but one of the greatest environments I’ve ever seen), pretty instrumental music (unlike the crappy sequel), good story… it was also the first game that made me cry. (THE ENDINGG!!) AAND WOAH HOLY CRAP THE SPHERE PRAYER THING OMGGGG I USED TO DO THE PRAYER THING WHEN I WAS A KID LOL
This was the last good Final Fantasy… I really, really miss these games.
